Overview and Gameplay
WWF WrestleMania Challenge expands NES wrestling with a larger early-1990s WWF roster and several match formats. Hulk Hogan, André the Giant, Macho King Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, Big Boss Man, Brutus Beefcake, Rick Rude, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and the generic challenger Yourself appear in singles, tag team, tournament, and Survivor Series-style play.
The action uses a diagonal ring view with strikes, grapples, slams, pins, count-outs, disqualifications, partner tags, and team elimination rules. The championship route sends Yourself through the WWF roster, while two-player modes allow competitive matches and tag-team play.
