Overview and Gameplay
WWF wrestlers fight with digitized sprites, life meters, and exaggerated arcade attacks instead of a slow simulation style. WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game includes six SNES wrestlers: Doink, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, and The Undertaker.
Controls And Mechanics
- Matches use movement, punches, kicks, super punches, super kicks, blocking, rope rebounds, throws, holds, and take-downs.
- Single-player routes include Intercontinental Title and World Wrestling Federation Title paths with handicap battles and a Royal Rumble finale.
- Energy meters, a 99-second timer, recovery prompts, and combo alerts shape the arcade-style pacing.
- Two-player play supports head-to-head matches and cooperative play against CPU opponents.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release. The SNES version is a home conversion of the arcade game and has six wrestlers, omitting Yokozuna and Bam Bam Bigelow from versions with eight wrestlers.
