Overview and Gameplay
Falling letters replace falling blocks in Wordtris, a word puzzle where tiles are cleared by spelling valid words horizontally or vertically. The SNES version uses a water-filled well, 10 levels from A to J, score targets, time options, difficulty settings, and a Magic Word that gives a major bonus and clears the board.
Controls And Mechanics
- Move falling letters across the well and drop them faster to build words before the screen fills.
- Wild Card tiles let the player choose a letter while they are falling.
- Cherry bombs, dynamite, and acid beakers remove problem tiles or columns.
- Longer words and harder difficulty settings increase scoring.
- Modes include solo play, simultaneous competitive two-player play, cooperative two-player scoring, and turn-based tournament play.
Version Notes
This is the U.S. SNES release, a console version of the DOS-origin puzzle game with SNES presentation and multiplayer modes.
