Overview and Gameplay
A magical book opens on Magical Land, where fairies compete for the mysterious Magical Drop. This Super Famicom version adapts Data East’s arcade action-puzzle game, built around fast color matching instead of slow tile placement.
The player controls a character at the bottom of the screen, grabs falling drops, and fires them back upward. Three or more drops of the same color clear, while larger chains can wipe out groups quickly and send pressure in versus battles.
Controls And Mechanics
- Move left and right to line up beneath falling drops.
- Grab drops, then shoot them back upward to create vertical matches.
- Special drops can clear all drops of a matching color.
- Ice drops change color when touched by a clearing drop, making chain setup important.
- Two-player mode is competitive versus play, not co-op.
Version Notes
This is the Japanese Super Famicom version with English text applied. It should not be treated as an official USA SNES release. The arcade game was also known outside Japan as Chain Reaction.
