Overview and Gameplay
Wind, grass, and green behavior make Super Birdie Rush a demanding Data East golf game for Super Famicom. Players compete in Stroke, Match, and Tournament modes, choosing golfer type, club set, tee ground, and green style before playing 18-hole rounds or seasonal tournament events. Shot planning involves club choice, impact point, direction, power timing, slope, hazards, and caddy advice.
Controls And Mechanics
- Players select tee position, club, impact point, aim, then use a timing gauge to strike the ball.
- Impact choices can produce normal, top, backspin, hook, and slice effects.
- Bent and Kourai greens behave differently, changing how slope, grain, and roll affect putts.
- Two-player play is turn-based competitive golf, not simultaneous action or co-op.
Version Notes
This is the Japan-only Super Famicom release of Super Birdie Rush, following the earlier Birdie Rush line.
