Overview and Gameplay
A mysterious invitation from “K” brings martial artists together for the Great Fighter’s Competition. Fighter’s History is the SNES port of Data East’s arcade one-on-one fighting game, with CPU battles, versus fights, survival play, and a roster of international fighters.
Controls And Mechanics
- Fights use punches, kicks, movement, jumping, crouching, blocking, and close-range throws.
- The Weak Spot System gives every fighter a vulnerable target. Repeated hits to that spot can stun the opponent and lower that area’s defense.
- CPU Battle follows a best-of-three-round structure, while Versus lets two players fight directly.
- Survival mode lets each side choose a five-fighter team and continue until one team is defeated.
Version Notes
This is the North American SNES version of Fighter’s History, based on Data East’s 1993 arcade game.
