Overview and Gameplay
Twelve world warriors return for faster, sharper one-on-one fights in Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting on SNES. The game builds on Capcom’s arcade Hyper Fighting update with quicker match speed, playable boss characters, new move options, and a Normal mode based on Champion Edition-style rules.
Single-player follows an arcade tournament structure: pick a fighter, travel through a ladder of opponents, and win best-of-three rounds by draining the rival’s life bar before time runs out.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement: use the directions to walk, jump, crouch, and block by holding away from the opponent.
- Attacks: Y, X, and L are light, medium, and heavy punches; B, A, and R are light, medium, and heavy kicks.
- Special moves: each fighter uses direction motions plus punch or kick buttons for signature techniques.
- Multiplayer: two players fight in simultaneous competitive versus matches, not co-op.
