Overview and Gameplay
Mario and Yoshi turn a bakery problem into a grid-based puzzle in Yoshi’s Cookie. Rows and columns of cookies are shifted until matching kinds line up vertically or horizontally, clearing them from the board and adding to the score.
Controls And Mechanics
- Action mode challenges the player to clear stages while new cookies keep entering the grid.
- VS mode lets two players compete head-to-head, or one player face the computer.
- Puzzle mode offers preset boards that must be solved within a limited number of moves.
- The Yoshi Cookie works as a helpful wild card when completing lines.
- Undo and restart functions are available in Puzzle mode.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release of Yoshi’s Cookie. It is separate from the rare Japanese promotional cooking edition, Yoshi no Cookie: Kuruppon Oven de Cookie.
