Overview and Gameplay
A kidnapped girlfriend and a cursed forest set the stage as Dover fights through magical ruins, monsters, and towering bosses in a side-scrolling action platform adventure. Built from the arcade original, the game blends direct combat with exploration, where enemies drop currency used to purchase helpful items between stages. Progression moves through distinct themed areas filled with traps, platforming challenges, and increasingly aggressive enemy patterns.
The core loop focuses on advancing through levels, defeating enemies with projectile magic, collecting gold, and preparing for tougher encounters through shop upgrades. Boss battles punctuate each stage and often require careful timing and positioning rather than simple rushing.
