Overview and Gameplay
A flying mecha cuts through six horizontal-scrolling stages in Spriggan Powered, a Japan-only Super Famicom shooter and the third main game in the Spriggan shooting series. The player fights enemy waves, mid-bosses, and stage bosses while collecting weapon orbs and managing a spirit meter.
Controls And Mechanics
- Weapons: colored orbs change or upgrade the current shot type.
- Meter use: the spirit meter powers both the protective shield and charge attacks.
- Scoring: close grazing near enemy fire can trigger Risky Tech score bonuses.
- Mode: single-player only, with no alternating, versus, simultaneous, or co-op multiplayer.
Version Notes
This is the Japanese Super Famicom cartridge release of Spriggan Powered. It was not released as a North American or European SNES cartridge, and it is separate from the Satellaview BS Spriggan Powered.
