Overview and Gameplay
Wolfenstein 3D follows Allied spy B.J. Blazkowicz as he escapes Nazi captivity and fights through fortified bases, laboratories, and command centers. The Game Boy Advance campaign contains six episodes with ten floors each. Every floor uses a maze-like layout of rooms, corridors, locked doors, hidden passages, enemies, treasure, and an exit elevator. Completing a floor advances the current episode, while secret switches can reveal concealed rooms or routes to hidden stages.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves forward or backward and turns left or right, while L and R strafe. A fires the equipped weapon, B opens doors and activates switches or hidden wall panels, and Select changes weapons. The arsenal includes a knife, pistol, machine gun, and chaingun, with firearms drawing from one ammunition supply. Food and medical kits restore health, gold and silver keys open matching doors, and treasure awards points. Losing all health costs a life and restarts the floor with basic equipment. Extra lives can be earned through scoring and special pickups.
Version Notes
This Game Boy Advance conversion includes all six Wolfenstein 3D episodes and 60 floors. It also supports cartridge saving after completed floors with up to four save files.
