Overview and Gameplay
Framed for the Ice Princess’s death, Batman crosses Gotham rooftops, Schreck’s Wonderland, the Red Triangle Circus, sewers, and the Penguin’s lair. This Genesis and Mega Drive adaptation is a side-scrolling action platformer built around close combat, careful jumps, grappling, cape-assisted gliding, and limited-use gadgets.
Five acts are split into multiple sections with hazards, vertical climbing, enemy encounters, and bosses including Catwoman and the Penguin. Health, lives, continues, ammunition, and flight power govern progress. The game is known more for its dark atmosphere and Batman equipment than for polished handling, with demanding enemy placement and collision that can make it feel unforgiving.
