In a post-apocalyptic Earth ruled by mutant overlord Lord Sluggo, the last remnants of humanity fight to recover pure DNA samples that can restore the species. Ex-Mutants is a side-scrolling action platformer built around combat-driven progression through hazardous wastelands, where mutated enemies attack in waves and environmental traps slow advancement. Each stage pushes the player toward objectives tied to DNA recovery and boss encounters guarding critical zones.
