Overview and Gameplay
Headdy battles through a puppet theater ruled by Dark Demon, attacking enemies and operating stage machinery by throwing his detachable head in eight directions. Treasure’s inventive action platformer moves through nine stages filled with shifting scenery, forced-scrolling sequences, minibosses, Keymaster battles, and shooter-style sections.
HeadCase supplies temporary replacement heads with abilities such as stronger attacks, projectiles, protection, healing, wall climbing, and screen-clearing effects. Hidden bonuses, time-based stage rewards, collectible continue pieces, and basketball intermissions add further challenges.
