Overview and Gameplay
Giant monsters collide in city-smashing arenas where each battle is a structured one-on-one fight for dominance. This Genesis version reimagines the kaiju tournament as a direct fighting experience, where players select powerful monsters and compete through a ladder of opponents across destructible urban stages.
Matches focus on timing, positioning, and heavy-impact attacks, with each monster offering distinct reach, speed, and special techniques. The goal is simple: defeat every rival creature and prove supremacy as the strongest monster in the world.
Controls And Mechanics
- Monsters move across multi-plane city arenas while exchanging punches, kicks, and aerial attacks
- Special attacks are triggered through directional inputs combined with standard actions
- Environmental destruction occurs during combat, reinforcing scale and impact
- Two-player versus mode allows head-to-head monster battles on the same system
Version Notes
This Genesis release differs significantly from the original arcade version. Instead of side-scrolling action stages, it is redesigned as a dedicated fighting game with structured match progression and expanded access to monster characters.
