Overview and Gameplay
Lieutenant Mike Harrigan races through an isometric Los Angeles, battling armed gangs and rescuing hostages before the Predator completes its deadly targeting lock. This 1992 Sega Genesis adaptation of the film uses seven stages, including streets, rooftops, a subway, the slaughterhouse, and the Predator’s ship.
Enemies continually emerge as Harrigan searches each area, creating pressure alongside the hostage timer. Defeated criminals drop drug packets for bonus points, while passwords provide access to later stages.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions: Move Harrigan in eight directions.
- A: Fire the selected weapon while moving and turning.
- B: Lock the firing direction to strafe while shooting.
- C: Cycle through collected weapons.
- Start: Begin or pause the game.
Harrigan’s handgun has unlimited ammunition. Limited weapons include bombs, rapid fire, spread fire, a shotgun, the Predator net, laser, and flying blade. Armor restores protection, and special weapons are best saved for vehicles, crowded areas, and bosses. The game supports one player only.
