Overview and Gameplay
Choose a ruler during the fall of the Han dynasty and work to unite China across 41 provinces. Romance of the Three Kingdoms II is a turn-based historical strategy game built around monthly planning, officer management, diplomacy, economics, and conquest. Six starting scenarios place rival warlords in different political situations, while custom rulers allow a more personal campaign.
Each turn is spent developing land, controlling floods, recruiting officers, training armies, trading rice, gathering intelligence, and negotiating alliances. Invasions shift to hex-based battlefields where terrain, forts, reinforcements, fire, duels, and commander survival can decide the campaign.
