Overview and Gameplay
The Death Egg rises again above Angel Island, drawing Sonic and Knuckles into a fast-paced platforming conflict filled with branching routes and shifting terrain. Players race through multi-act zones that mix speed-based sections with more exploratory platforming, where momentum and careful movement both matter.
Knuckles brings wall-climbing and gliding abilities that open alternate paths through levels, while Sonic relies on acceleration and precision timing to push through high-speed routes. Progression leads across themed zones toward a multi-stage confrontation with Dr. Robotnik’s forces and his rebuilt weapon.
