Overview and Gameplay
Lon Simmons provides running play-by-play as licensed professional players take the field in this North American baseball adaptation. Choose an exhibition game, build an All Pro roster, or guide one team through a 15, 30, 81, or 162-game pennant season and postseason championship.
Batting and pitching use a view from behind the hitter, then balls in play shift to an elevated field view. Players manage lineups, defensive positions, substitutions, relief pitchers, runner movement, and fielding. Three ballparks offer daytime, nighttime, and domed settings with different dimensions.
Controls And Mechanics
- Batting: Move in the box, swing, bunt, take leads, steal, advance, return, and slide.
- Pitching: Select fastballs, changeups, or breaking pitches, adjust break in flight, and attempt pickoffs.
- Fielding: Move the nearest fielder, dive or jump, throw to bases, or cycle defensive depth.
- Multiplayer: Two players compete simultaneously. Exhibition mode also supports a rotating round-robin for three to six participants.
