Overview and Gameplay

Wile E. Coyote’s ACME traps turn each stage into a fast cartoon chase. Looney Tunes: Road Runner is a side-scrolling platform game where Road Runner races through desert hazards, checkpoint flags, enemies, and boss-like contraptions.

The adventure is arranged across five themed areas with four sub-levels each. Players collect flags and items, avoid cacti and spikes, build score, and clear set-piece encounters where Wile E.’s inventions collapse around him.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Directions move Road Runner and duck under hazards.
  • B jumps, A pecks enemies or objects, and Y triggers turbo speed while moving.
  • Turbo speed uses the bird seed meter and can help with long jumps or dangerous sections.
  • Skidding by reversing direction while running can defeat some ground enemies.
  • This is a single-player platform game with no verified two-player mode.

Version Notes

This is the European PAL English version, titled Looney Tunes: Road Runner. The U.S. release is known as Road Runner’s Death Valley Rally, while Japan used a longer Road Runner versus Wile E. Coyote title.
