Overview and Gameplay
Starwing Competition turns the European PAL Starwing into a four-minute Arwing score attack. Instead of the full Lylat campaign, the player runs modified Corneria and Asteroid stages, then a competition-only bonus stage, chasing points before the timer expires.
Controls And Mechanics
- Flight: the Arwing steers through rail-shooter courses while firing lasers, braking, boosting, rolling, and launching Nova Bombs.
- Scoring: enemies, bosses, rings, power-ups, completion bonuses, remaining bombs, and shield condition all affect the final score.
- Competition format: crashes restart the current stage and cost time, but the run continues until the timer ends.
- Mode: single-player only, with no alternating, versus, simultaneous, or co-op multiplayer.
Version Notes
This is the English European PAL competition version, separate from the standard retail Starwing, the German Starwing Offizieller Wettbewerb, and the U.S. Star Fox: Super Weekend.
