Overview and Gameplay
A new time-travel tournament brings warriors from different eras back into one-on-one combat. World Heroes 2 expands the roster to 14 fighters and builds each match around life gauges, time limits, special moves, throws, guards, projectile reflection, and throw reversals.
Controls And Mechanics
- Normal Mode uses standard round-based fighting against computer opponents or another player.
- Survival Mode adds hazardous arenas with traps such as lightning, mines, saw blades, spikes, and slick floors.
- Players use movement, jumping, crouching, guarding, weak and strong punches, weak and strong kicks, taunts, throws, and character-specific special moves.
- Two players can fight each other in simultaneous versus play; there is no co-op mode.
Version Notes
This is the U.S. SNES release from Takara, converted by Saurus from ADK’s Neo Geo arcade fighting game. It is separate from World Heroes, World Heroes 2 Jet, and later re-releases.
