Overview and Gameplay
Seven fighters enter Shang Tsung’s martial arts tournament in Mortal Kombat for SNES. This home version adapts the 1992 arcade fighting game into one-on-one matches with health bars, timed rounds, endurance battles, Goro, and the final fight against Shang Tsung.
Controls And Mechanics
- Matches are won by taking two rounds before the opponent does.
- Each fighter has punches, kicks, crouching attacks, blocks, throws, and character-specific special moves.
- The solo ladder includes regular opponents, a mirror match, endurance fights, and boss battles.
- Two-player mode is direct versus fighting, not cooperative play.
Version Notes
This is based on the European PAL SNES release. The SNES version is known for replacing arcade blood with sweat and changing some finishing moves; this build is a hack-modified variant.
