Overview and Gameplay

Break Time: The National Pool Tour brings four forms of pocket billiards to the NES: 9-Ball, Rotation, 8-Ball, and 14-1 Rack Game. Players aim shots from a top-down table, manage cue-ball spin, and stop a moving power meter to control strength.

The main National Pool Tour uses best-of-three 9-Ball matches across New York City, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Winning each stop provides a password for continued progress. Standard matches offer several computer opponents, while Practice mode allows free ball placement and includes seven trick-shot demonstrations.
