Overview and Gameplay
Johnny Thomas leaves the police and investigates the Hawk crime syndicate after its narcotics experiments destroy his family. The campaign spans six side-scrolling stages, including a moving train, docks, a cargo ship, a circus aircraft, a fortified mansion, and Hawk’s production base. Each stage ends with a boss whose attacks range from thrown crates and trained animals to knives and martial-arts techniques.
Johnny advances through timed stages filled with foot soldiers, gunmen, knife fighters, jet-pack troops, and environmental hazards. Defeated enemies award points and may drop Stamina X, which restores part of his vitality. Boss victories grant large score bonuses, while every 20,000 points awards an extra life. Easy and Normal settings change enemy speed, damage, and boss durability.
Controls And Mechanics
Use the directional pad to move, jump, or crouch. A performs punches and B performs kicks, with jumping and crouching versions available through directional inputs. Holding a crouch briefly charges stronger techniques, including an uppercut, an overhead throw, and a flying uppercut. Repeated movement or attack inputs break enemy grabs.
