Overview and Gameplay
A lone pilot named Tony Martin is chosen to control a captured alien war machine in a struggle against a mechanized invasion. The experience shifts constantly between vulnerable on-foot exploration and heavy armored combat inside a towering mech. Progression is built around exploring multi-area stages, locating key items, and reaching exits while managing two very different forms of survival.
The mech delivers strong firepower and durability, while Tony can access tight passages, ladders, and hidden areas. Many objectives require switching between both forms to advance through hostile zones filled with alien defenses and environmental hazards.
Controls And Mechanics
- Switch between pilot and mech forms to access different areas

Version Notes
The Japanese release was titled Metal Flame Psy Buster for the Famicom. The NES USA version rebranded the presentation and localized the title while keeping the core structure intact.
