Overview and Gameplay
Kuros enters the woods of Elrond to defeat the evil wizard Malkil and rescue the princess held in Castle IronSpire. Rare’s NES fantasy platformer mixes sword combat, vertical exploration, secret rooms, keys, treasure, and magic items.
Each area is built around finding doors, chests, hidden paths, and useful items while surviving constant enemies. Kuros collects gems, opens color-coded locks, uses magic gear to reach new places, and battles through forests, caves, ice, lava, and castle sections.
