Overview and Gameplay
Malkil has seized the powers of Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth, leaving Kuros to recover four pieces of the shattered IronSword. This NES sequel combines side-view platforming and sword combat with exploration, shops, equipment, spells, hidden rooms, and password-based progression.
Each elemental domain asks Kuros to collect keys, open chests, recover a golden quest object, obtain the magic needed to defeat its Elemental, and claim an IronSword fragment. The rebuilt weapon is then carried to the final confrontation on IceFire Mountain.
Controls And Mechanics
- Move with the directional pad, press down to crouch, and use A to jump.
- B attacks with the current weapon or fires equipped elemental magic. Select opens the spell screen, while Start pauses play.
- Gold buys food, keys, equipment, and spells at inns. Food restores Life Force, while magic bubbles refill spell power.
- The game is single-player only. Enemies and hidden Relics of Sindarin award points, but progression depends on quest items, magic, and boss victories.
