Overview and Gameplay

Apple enters a malfunctioning computer program and battles its bug-like inhabitants with 16-ton weights. Each of the 21 rounds is a compact, wraparound arena rather than a scrolling stage. Clear both the enemy count and the remaining slot-generated waves to advance.

Weights are weapons, hazards, and temporary platforms. They can crush enemies or Apple, collide into unpredictable ricochets, and break after repeated impacts. Ice, springs, and collapsing blocks make positioning increasingly dangerous, while a recharge meter restores the stock of weights up to five.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Directions: Move Apple through the arena.
  • A or C: Jump. Holding the button changes jump distance.
  • B: Throw a 16-ton weight. Holding the button changes its range.
  • Start: Begin play or accept a continue during the countdown.

This is a single-player game. Its challenge comes from controlling crowded arenas while avoiding enemies, hazardous terrain, and the player’s own bouncing weights.

Version Notes

This Japanese release was distributed through Sega Game Toshokan for the Mega Modem rather than as a standard cartridge. It was later included in Japanese Mega-CD and Sega Channel compilations, then reissued through the Japanese and Asian Mega Drive Mini.
