Overview and Gameplay
Ayrton Senna lends his supervision, racing advice, and voice samples to this cockpit-view Formula One-style racer. Compete against 15 computer drivers while managing qualifying laps, race position, transmission, damage, weather, and pit entry.
Senna GP features three special courses and short three-lap events. World Championship spans 16 rounds with Formula One-style points and battery-backed progress. Master difficulty adds longer races, rival challenges, team changes, and cars with different performance levels. Free Practice includes time trials and configurable races.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions: Steer left and right, with up and down controlling gear changes when using a manual transmission.
- A: Brake.
- B: Accelerate.
- C: Enter the pits.
- Start: Pause or resume the race.
Automatic, four-speed manual, and seven-speed manual transmissions are available. Success is measured through lap times, finishing positions, rival results, and championship points. This Genesis version is single-player only.
Version Notes
The North American cartridge includes selectable English and Japanese text. Players can also choose miles or kilometers for the speed display. It is the standard USA release with no revision designation.
