Overview and Gameplay

An alien companion named Squeak turns each stage into a careful mix of platform movement and escort-based puzzle design. A young boy named Bubble explores strange worlds, meeting Squeak early in the journey, and the core goal becomes guiding the small creature safely through increasingly complex environments.

The Sega Genesis version focuses on side-scrolling traversal where positioning, timing, and protection of Squeak matter as much as movement skill. Levels combine platforming routes with environmental hazards, enemies that drop coins, and hidden paths that reward exploration. Midway through the adventure, gameplay shifts into a dual-character structure where both coordination and planning become essential.

Between main stages, short shooter-style segments add variety to progression, creating a mix of platform and arcade pacing across the full game.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Movement across multi-layer platform stages with jumping and enemy avoidance
  • Jumping and attacking used to clear hazards and open paths
  • Escort mechanics centered on keeping Squeak safe through hazards
  • Coins collected from enemies contribute to score and progression rewards
  • Occasional shooter segments shift gameplay into forward-scrolling action

Version Notes

This version is a Sega Genesis port of an earlier Amiga release. The home console adaptation retains the core escort-platform structure while adjusting presentation and pacing for console play.
