Overview and Gameplay

Built around the 1991 NBA postseason, this five-on-five basketball game features the 16 playoff teams plus Eastern and Western Conference All-Star squads. Players compete in exhibition games or guide a team through the playoff bracket toward the championship.

Matches use a side-view court with passing, shooting, rebounding, fouls, substitutions, fatigue, instant replays, player statistics, and signature moves for selected NBA stars. Quarter length and computer difficulty can be adjusted before play.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Directions: Move the controlled player or choose a pass receiver.
  • A: Shoot on offense and jump or block on defense.
  • B: Pass on offense and switch defenders on defense.
  • C: Attempt a steal on defense.
  • Start: Pause the game and access management options.

Two players can compete head-to-head or cooperate on the same team against the computer. Free throws use a timing meter, while fatigue makes substitutions important during longer games.
