Overview and Gameplay

Pilot the armored Maneuver Cepter Granada across free-roaming battlefields in a fictional African conflict. This Sega Genesis conversion of Wolf Team’s Sharp X68000 shooter replaces fixed scrolling with objective-based stages: use the radar to locate priority targets, destroy them in any practical order, then confront the stage boss.

The nine-stage campaign combines multidirectional combat with time limits, environmental hazards, destructible enemies, and terrain that can complicate movement. Its responsive strafing system and compact mission structure helped Granada earn a strong cult reputation among shooter enthusiasts.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Directions: Move in eight directions and normally rotate the cannon.
  • A: Fire the rapid standard weapon.
  • B: Lock the cannon’s direction while moving, allowing strafing attacks and controlled retreats.
  • C: Fire the powerful blaster, whose recoil can push Granada backward, or activate certain support units.
  • Start: Begin, pause, or resume play.

Support units can add protection, homing fire, reflected shots, or autonomous attacks. The game is strictly single-player.
