Overview and Gameplay
Choose one of four quad bikes and race across timed off-road circuits in this Genesis conversion of Namco’s 1989 arcade game Four Trax. Practice mode offers nine courses, while the 16-race championship uses passwords to preserve progress. Each ATV is rated for horsepower, handling, and acceleration.
Controls And Mechanics
- Steer with the directions, accelerate with B, brake with A, and shift between low and high gear with C.
- Manage sharp turns, slides, jumps, uneven ground, and the risk of wiping out.
- Reach checkpoints and complete laps before the timer expires.
- Two players can race simultaneously in a split-screen versus mode.
Version Notes
The North American release was titled Quad Challenge. The Japanese Mega Drive version appeared as MegaTrax, with different title presentation and regional mode names.
