Overview and Gameplay
Aliens kidnap Jeannie Jungle and hide her among eight islands. Master Higgins crosses branching routes, secret rooms, bonus stages, and guardian encounters while searching for her.
Each side-scrolling area requires Higgins to avoid enemies and terrain hazards, collect food, and reach the exit before his energy runs out. Stored weapons, dinosaur companions, and invincibility crystals can be selected before entering an area.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Higgins and lets him duck. A jumps, swims, or controls flight, while B throws an axe or boomerang, activates dinosaur attacks, and increases movement speed. Start pauses play, and Select cycles through stored equipment.
Five dinosaur companions provide specialized abilities. Taylor attacks with his tail and crosses ice safely, Magma spits fire and walks on lava, Don-Don flies and drops rocks, Classie moves quickly underwater, and Poley uses a rolling attack.
Fruit, meat, and milk restore the energy meter. Eggs may contain weapons, keys, skateboards, clocks, dinosaurs, or harmful eggplants. Points come from collected food, defeated enemies, destroyed obstacles, hidden bonuses, and remaining energy. Extra lives are awarded through score milestones, fruit totals, and hidden items.
