Overview and Gameplay
Master Higgins travels across eight islands to rescue Tina from the Evil Witch Doctor. Each island presents a branching map with side-scrolling areas, hidden routes, bonus rooms, and a boss battle at the end.
Stages include forests, caves, deserts, icy terrain, volcanoes, underwater passages, and vertical sections. Stored axes and dinosaur companions can be selected before entering later areas.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Higgins, A jumps, swims, or controls flight, and B throws axes, activates a dinosaur attack, or increases movement speed. Start begins or pauses play.
Vitality decreases continuously, so Higgins must collect fruit, meat, and milk while crossing each stage. Eggs may contain weapons, a skateboard, temporary invincibility, score bonuses, harmful eggplants, or one of four dinosaur companions.
The blue dinosaur attacks with its tail, the red dinosaur breathes fire, the elasmosaurus improves underwater movement, and the pteranodon flies and drops rocks. A dinosaur can absorb an enemy hit before being lost. Points come from food, defeated enemies, hidden items, and end-of-stage rewards.
