Overview and Gameplay
Sparkster, a sword-wielding opossum with a rechargeable rocket pack, races to rescue Princess Sherry and stop the Devotindos Empire from awakening the destructive Pig Star. Konami built this Genesis original as a fast, set-piece-driven action platformer with seven stages, frequent bosses, mine-cart runs, flying battles, underwater movement, and a giant robot duel.
Charging the rocket pack lets Sparkster burst in eight directions, rebound from surfaces, cross hazards, and strike enemies. Gems raise the score, fruit restores health on most settings, and extra lives are awarded at score thresholds.
