Overview and Gameplay
In Ultimate Qix, a lone pilot clears an alien-infested playfield by carving shapes into the arena. The goal is to capture most of the screen while avoiding roaming enemies that patrol the field and attack during line-drawing attempts. The tension comes from deciding when to extend a line deeper into danger and when to retreat safely.
The game follows a simple loop: enter the field, draw boundaries to claim territory, and complete each stage by reaching the required capture percentage. Enemy patterns grow faster and more aggressive as levels progress.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement across edges and inside the field to start drawing lines
- Drawing territory lines that must be completed safely to count
- Enemy avoidance during both movement and active line drawing
- Stage completion based on captured area percentage
