Overview and Gameplay
Jim returns in his super suit to chase Psy-Crow and rescue Princess What’s-Her-Name across a stranger set of cartoon worlds. Earthworm Jim 2 keeps the run-and-gun platform base of the first game, but leans harder into level-specific gimmicks, unusual objectives, and rapid changes of pace.
Controls And Mechanics
- Jim runs, jumps, fires different weapons, whips with his head, and switches weapons during play.
- Snott can be used as a parachute-style glide aid and appears in special level mechanics.
- Stages include platform shooting, puppy-catching sections, quiz-style moments, flying or movement gimmicks, and surreal boss encounters.
- The game is single-player only.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release. It is separate from the later Saturn, PlayStation, PC, and Game Boy Advance versions, which have their own presentation and port differences.
