Overview and Gameplay
Two-on-two arcade basketball returns with expanded NBA rosters, substitutions, Hot Spots, power-ups, and faster special modes. Tournament Edition builds on NBA Jam with exaggerated dunks, turbo movement, visible player ratings, four-quarter games, records, initials, and password-based progress.
Controls And Mechanics
- Players move, pass, steal, shoot, block, shove, and use turbo to create faster drives and stronger defensive plays.
- Three straight baskets by one player can trigger the on-fire state, boosting shooting and turbo pressure until the other team scores.
- Hot Spots and power-up icons add extra scoring chances and temporary effects outside Tournament Mode.
- Tournament Mode turns off power-ups, cheats, special characters, and computer assistance for stricter play.
- The SNES version supports competitive multiplayer, including full two-on-two play with a Super Multitap.
