Overview and Gameplay
Licensed around Nigel Mansell and Newman Haas Racing, Newman Haas Indy Car Featuring Nigel Mansell puts the player in cockpit-view IndyCar races across a single event or full season. Arcade mode keeps pit work simple, while Simulation adds setup choices, yellow flags, fuel, tire wear, damage, and pit strategy.
Controls And Mechanics
- Races use steering, acceleration, braking, and manual gear shifts when selected.
- Simulation setup includes brake strength, stagger, wing angle, tire compound, camber, transmission choice, and display options.
- Full-season scoring awards points for finishing position, fastest qualifier, and most laps led.
- Two-player mode uses split-screen versus racing.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release. The Japanese version used the title Nigel Mansell Indy Car, and the game continues season progress by password rather than SRAM saving.
