Each game follows Ryu through fast side-scrolling stages, cinematic story scenes, enemy-heavy platforming, wall movement, sword attacks, Ninja Arts, power-ups, and boss fights.
Controls And Mechanics
- Ryu runs, crouches, climbs, jumps, clings to walls, attacks with the Dragon Sword, and uses Ninja Arts with collected ninja power.
- Stages are linear action-platform courses with hazards, enemy patterns, limited health, and bosses.
- Power-ups include healing items, score items, extra lives, throwing stars, fire wheel attacks, windmill throwing stars, and invincibility.
- The trilogy adds password continuation for the three included games.
- The game is single-player only.
