Overview and Gameplay
Smash Tennis brings Namco’s arcade-style tennis to the European SNES, with singles, doubles, Exhibition matches, and a Tournament mode built around winning major events toward a Grand Slam. The game features 20 selectable players and nine courts, including standard surfaces and more unusual locations.
Controls And Mechanics
- Players move and aim shots with the directional pad, then choose between strong shots, soft shots, and lobs.
- Shot timing and direction affect placement, while grass, hard, clay, and special courts change how the ball bounces.
- Two-player matches are supported, including versus play and doubles; additional multiplayer requires multitap support.
