Overview and Gameplay
Super Tennis presents SNES tennis from a behind-the-player view, with Singles, Doubles, and World Circuit modes. The game features 20 fictional players, standard tennis scoring, hard, lawn, and clay courts, and tournament play built around ranking points.
World Circuit is the long-form mode, sending the player through major and minor tournaments while managing match results and player condition across the season.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement: directions move the player and aim shots at contact.
- Shots: A plays slice or soft serves, B plays flat shots or fast serves, X hits topspin, and Y lobs.
- Spin: L and R add left or right spin, especially useful while serving.
- Multiplayer: two players can compete in singles or doubles, and can also team up in co-op doubles against computer opponents.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL Revision A release. The Japanese version is titled Super Tennis World Circuit.
