Overview and Gameplay
Bonk’s first Super Nintendo outing sends the hard-headed caveman through a strange trip that jumps from prehistoric trouble to city streets, dinosaur interiors, caves, and outer space. Super Bonk is a side-scrolling platformer built around head-butts, jumps, spinning attacks, climbing, swimming, bonus areas, score items, and odd transformations.
Meat powers up Bonk, candies change his size, and special forms such as Crab Bonk, Fester Bonk, and Kronk Bonk alter how he handles enemies and obstacles.
Controls And Mechanics
- Move through stages, jump across platforms, and use Bonk’s head to attack enemies or interact with objects.
- Repeated jump and attack inputs let Bonk spin while falling, and repeated jumping helps him climb certain walls.
- Special attacks depend on Bonk’s current form, while shoulder buttons help him run up icy slopes.
