Overview and Gameplay
Tecmo Super Bowl III: Final Edition closes Tecmo’s 16-bit football run with NFL teams, real players, season schedules, Pro Bowl and tournament-style play, weather, records, standings, and stat tracking. The SNES version adds roster management features such as trades, free agency, and the Superstar Editor for creating and improving original players.
Controls And Mechanics
- Call run and pass plays, then control snaps, kicks, passes, tackles, receiver choices, and defensive switches.
- Audibles, fake punts, fake field goals, fair catches, touchbacks, dive plays, and two-point conversions add tactical choices.
- Command windows handle timeouts, substitutions, player data, playbooks, and strategy options.
- Two players can compete head-to-head; it is not a co-op mode.
