Overview and Gameplay
Medabots AX: Rokusho Version follows Ikki and Rokusho through the World Robattle Tournament as the Rubberobo Gang targets its prize. Each real-time arena battle features a player-controlled leader and an AI partner.
Preliminary areas lead into the tournament and later battles against Rubberobo leaders. Victories award medal experience and a Medapart from the defeated team. Team Formation allows changes to head, arm, and leg parts, medals, team order, and partner command panels.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves, dashes, charges Medaforce, and modifies attacks. A jumps, while B activates the right arm, head, or left arm according to directional input. L blocks, R switches the partner command, and Select releases a medal-specific Medaforce technique.
Each Medabot has separately damageable head, arm, and leg parts. Destroying the opposing leader’s head wins the Robattle. Head actions have limited uses, while arm actions recharge between attacks. Linked Game Boy Advance systems support simultaneous two-player battles and trading.
Version Notes
Rokusho Version features Rokusho and the Kuwagata Medal as Ikki’s main setup. It includes parts and medals that differ from Metabee Version, with link trading available between compatible cartridges.
