Overview and Gameplay
Medabots: Rokusho follows Ikki Tenryou as he activates Rokusho with a rare Kuwagata Medal, enters Robattles, and confronts the Rubberobo Gang. The story progresses through towns, schools, forests, caves, laboratories, tournaments, and enemy bases.
Exploration leads to puzzles, hidden items, new Medals, and additional robot parts. Teams can contain up to three Medabots, with one designated leader. Winning battles earns money, develops Medal skills, and may award an opponent’s Medapart.
Controls And Mechanics
Each Medabot uses a Tinpet frame, one Medal, and interchangeable head, arm, and leg parts. These parts determine attacks, armor, movement, terrain performance, accuracy, charge time, recovery time, and special effects. Disabling the opposing leader’s head wins the Robattle.
Commands include equipped attacks, Medaforce charging, learned Medaforce abilities, status checks, and programmed Rotation sequences. Head parts have limited uses, while damaged parts lose their functions. If time expires, surviving units and functional parts determine the result.
Two-player Game Link Cable modes support competitive Robattles, Medapart exchanges, and Medal transfers between compatible cartridges.
