Overview and Gameplay

Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE move to Cyber City and confront a WWW plot involving the legendary Cybeasts. Exploration alternates between real-world locations and network areas, where MegaMan solves device puzzles, fights viruses, defeats NetNavis, and collects upgrades. Battle Chips, HP Memories, RegUP items, Navi Customizer programs, Mystery Data, and request rewards expand combat options.

Gregar grants Beast Out, while Link Navi scenarios unlock Heat, Elec, Slash, Erase, and Charge Cross forms. Optional requests, Navi rematches, chip-library completion, Program Advances, and postgame encounters extend progression.

Controls And Mechanics

Combat uses a six-by-three panel grid. The Custom Screen pauses battle so MegaMan can load compatible chips from a 30-chip folder, then action resumes for movement, Mega Buster fire, charged shots, dodging, and chip attacks. Counter hits can trigger Full Synchro, and Busting Level affects rewards.

Beast Out lasts for limited turns and can operate with a Cross form. Depleting the Beast counter causes fatigue; forcing another transformation triggers Beast Over and automatic attacks. Two-player link or wireless play supports simultaneous NetBattles, chip and folder trading, and record comparison.

Version Notes

Cybeast Gregar has different Cross forms, Link Navis, Beast abilities, and exclusive chips from Cybeast Falzar. The North American release uses English text and omits Japanese-only Boktai crossover content and Beast Link Gate functions.
