Overview and Gameplay
Professor Calamitous turns parts of Retroville into locations from a Jet Fusion spy adventure after Jimmy’s Virtual World Reproduction Machine malfunctions. Jimmy and Goddard travel through four themed worlds, including Sage Village, the Island of Oblivion, the High Seas, and a space station.
Each world contains two exploration stages, a minigame, and a boss battle. Jimmy must recover three invention parts to unlock the minigame, complete its objective, and reach the boss. Optional Sonic Resonator upgrades and Health Containers reward exploration.
Controls And Mechanics
Jimmy runs, jumps, swims, aims, and attacks with the selected utility. The Sonic Resonator provides a standard ranged attack, while the Micro Discharger, H2O Inhibitor, and Gum Ball Blaster use limited ammunition. The H2O Inhibitor can cool hazards into temporary platforms, and gum shots can create sticky footholds on suitable walls.
Goddard gains Copter and Aqua Mobile forms for aerial and underwater movement. Purple Flurp restores health, permanent containers raise the maximum health bar, and checkpoints provide passwords for later continuation. Losing all health returns Jimmy to the most recently activated checkpoint after choosing to retry.
Version Notes
This Game Boy Advance edition presents the story as a 2D platform game built around invention-part collection, utility weapons, Goddard transformations, four minigames, and password-based progress.
